The Parkersburg (WV) South High School Student Council made a generous donation to the HSOV on April 4, 2015. When the students learned of the break-in and loss of money at our shelter, they decided to hold a fundraiser to help the HSOV animals. They set up a table at one of their school’s basketball games on February 18th and painted designs on faces to raise money .. very innovative!! Thnak You to Buttermore Jewelers (367 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg, WV) collected supplies for the HSOV during the first week in September after learning that our shelter had an unexpected intake of nearly 50 cats and that our supply of cat food was low. Every customer who donated an item was given a free dog or cat charm. Connie Ritchie and Gina Moore (Buttermore Jewelers) said that more than 60 items were donated by their customers and were delivered to the HSOV on Monday, September 8, 2014.
