I keep hearing negative things (myths) about the shelter in Marietta. Several of my friends are now educated. So take a minute and read this. First: All cages are sterilize daily, 2nd animals are never put down unless they bite and cant be adopted out and even at that we try and hold on….or they fall ill and by a vets advise only. 3rd now that more people are educated we have lots of volunteers to play with the animals, 4th I have seen the Humane officer and director litterally sleep in the cages of those that are sick or scared. And last we are getting more and more fosters meaning the animals go to a home until they find a permanant home. And finally before judging which only hurts the animals chances…volunteer and make changes yourself. With that said…the shelter always welcomes changes and loving hearts.
