HSOV Canine Rescue Coordinator, Celeste Ridgway, has asked that we post an update about the 54 dogs who were taken into custody and brought to our shelter on the evening of July 20, 2015..
37 of those dogs left on two rescue transports around noon today, and the rest are scheduled to leave next week.
We want to thank all of the volunteers who dedicated their time to assist the shelter staff and board members in caring for those 54 dogs while they were in our shelter for the past 1-1/2 weeks.
Thanks also to many compassionate folks in our community who donated supplies, food, and monetary contributions as well as people who donated via Paypal or mailed checks to the HSOV. And to Dr. Roberta Haught for the countless hours she spent assessing/prescribing treatment for many of the dogs. And thank you Red Rover Responders for your assistance in caring for the dogs and to PetsMart Charities for the donation of a truckload of supplies including carriers/kennels, and food.
From Celeste Ridgway to Sharon a BIG THANKS to you for getting me there pics so fast to get posted out to our rescues begging for help— also to Marilyn and Joellen for driving them to Toledo yesterday — they had a long long day and didnt make it home until after midnight- all dogs have arrived safely at the rescues and are settling in there foster homes
